RB LaMichael James - San Francisco 49ers
|5-8, 194||Born: 10-22-1989||College: Oregon||Drafted: Round 2|
Though the 49ers general manager gave a vote of confidence to James as a punt returner, there may be competition brewing at kick returner should receiver David Reed make the roster.
SummaryWith the season-ending injury to Kendall Hunter, LaMichael James appeared to be in the running for the 49ers' number two role behind Frank Gore. But James dislocated an elbow shortly after Hunter's injury and will miss all of training camp and the preseason. By the time he returns, it is expected that either Carlos Hyde or Marcus Lattimore will have secured the number two job. (July 29)
