Week 15: at Tennessee Titans - $8600

All WR vs TEN

FBG says: Neutral matchup. Deshaun Watson attempted a season-high 50 passes while completing below 60 percent of those attempts for just the second time this year in last week's blowout loss to the Broncos. It was a near-complete reversal of fortunes for this Texans passing offense that looked impeccable in their win over the Patriots in Week 13. The injury to Will Fuller certainly leaves a void in this offense as it allowed almost all of the attention to be placed on DeAndre Hopkins, who actually still performed well last week with seven receptions for 120 yards and a touchdown. Hopkins has had some quiet weeks this season, but he has now amassed at least 80 yards in three of his last four games with three touchdowns over that span. Kenny Stills has done nothing when given more opportunities from Will Fuller being absent this season, so it is tough to rely upon him moving forward. Fuller remains questionable, so his status will require monitoring coming into this week's game. Considering the injuries to the Titans secondary, they did a relatively good job in coverage against the Raiders last week. Tye Smith, in particular, has now played well in back-to-back starts in place of the injured Adoree Jackson. Jackson continues to be questionable with a foot injury, so Smith would likely roll back out as the starter if Jackson misses a third straight game. Squaring off against the likes of DeAndre Hopkins will be an entirely different challenge for Smith this week though, as Hopkins should have a clear edge against both Smith and Trumaine Brock, who was recently acquired from the Cardinals and started for Tennessee last week. While Titans safeties and linebackers have put together a solid body of work in coverage, they have been susceptible to tight ends in recent weeks, giving up the third-most fantasy points per game to the position since Week 10. However, all in all, DeAndre Hopkins and this Texans passing offense should have a relatively even matchup against the red hot Titans defense.

Recent Game Summaries

2019 Week 14 vs DEN (13 / 7 / 120 / 1 rec, 1 / 12 / 0 rush - 22.7 points, $8300)

DeAndre Hopkins is one of the few skill players that showed up for the Texans, and he had a 43-yard touchdown reception when the Broncos left him wide open on an over route across the field. Hopkins continues to do what he does best, catch passes, and eat up yards. When Watson doesn't have Will Fuller on the field, Hopkins ends up being Watson's insurance plan, and it more times than not ends up being big days for Hopkins.

2019 Week 13 vs NE (8 / 5 / 64 / 0 rec - 13.14 points, $8300)

Stephon Gilmore was up to the task early, slowing Hopkins in the passing game, but in the second half, he came alive. Four of five Hopkins receptions went for a first down with his longest coming on a 27-yard catch and run. Hopkins beat Gilmore on a slant and was able to knock Gilmore to the ground to break the tackle to eat up around ten more yards of ground. His best play came on a trick play that saw him take a handoff from Duke Johnson only to throw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Deshaun Watson to ice the game.

2019 Week 12 vs IND (8 / 6 / 94 / 2 rec - 24.4 points, $8300)

If the second half of the season, it has been all DeAndre Hopkins for the offense, and this game was no different. His first touchdown reception came on a broke coverage where the Colts left him wide open in the end zone that resulted in a 35-yard touchdown reception from Watson. His best catch came early in the 4th quarter when Watson hit Hopkins for a 30yard touchdown reception for a fingertip catch displaying his route running and ability to get vertical. Hopkins remains a first down machine, five of his six receptions went for a first down or touchdown against the Colts.

2019 Week 11 vs BAL (12 / 7 / 80 / 0 rec - 11.5 points, $8300)

The Texans other bright spot in the offense with seven catches for 80 yards. His longest reception was for 20 yards, but most of his work continued to be on shorter routes helping out Watson trying to get going. He did get targets deep, but he and Watson could not connect when needed, including a costly no-call pass interference on a 4th downplay that would have set the Texans up at the one-yard line. Hopkins continues to get his opportunities in the passing game.

2019 Week 9 vs JAX (11 / 8 / 48 / 1 rec, 1 / 6 / 0 rush - 15.4 points, $8100)

It was another productive day, and Hopkins capped it off with a one-yard touchdown reception on a quick slant throw from Watson. Hopkins continued to do work on underneath routes, but when the Texans needed a big play, they turn to him. Hopkins was able to get a key 21-yard reception to set up a late score to put the game on ice to seal the win. Hopkins remains a constant in the passing game and continues to make catches when needed.

2019 Week 8 vs OAK (13 / 11 / 109 / 0 rec - 16.4 points, $8200)

The Texans remain faithful to DeAndre Hopkins, and the past two weeks, the offense has run through their best offensive player. Hopkins did not get into the end zone, but he was able to rack up eleven receptions. He did most of his damage in the middle of the field, getting nearly 10-yards a clip every time he touched the football. His best reception came on a 21-yard catch and throw between him and Watson. Hopkins is starting to get warmed up, and that is a good sign for the star wide receiver.

2019 Week 7 vs IND (12 / 9 / 106 / 1 rec - 21.1 points, $8000)

The Texans finally had to turn to DeAndre Hopkins, who had his best day receving since week one. After Will Fuller went down, the Texans offense starting pumping through Hopkins. Hopkins had nine receptions and was able to get a four-yard touchdown pass reception late in the game. Hopkins beat his man running a nice route getting back to the inside, where he was standing by himself in the end zone. Hopkins remains the Texans' top option in the passing game, and when the ball comes his way, he is going to make plays.

2019 Week 6 vs KC (12 / 9 / 55 / 0 rec - 12 points, $8400)

The touchdown numbers are slow for Hopkins, but he had his opportunity on Sunday. Late in the game, Watson made a great read to get Hopkins the football near the goal line, but he dropped a sure touchdown right in his hands. Hopkins had a case of the drops in week one and had this crucial on versus the Chiefs. Hopkins had nine receptions on the day, and all of his work was done on underneath routes with the Chiefs trying to prevent the deep throws. Hopkins' best reception came on a short pass, which saw him break two tackles for an 18-yard gain.

2019 Week 5 vs ATL (8 / 7 / 88 / 0 rec - 12.3 points, $8500)

With all of the offense going around the field, Deandre Hopkins did not get into the end zone but he was still able to rack up receptions and yards during the game. Hopkins longest reception came on a 29-yard catch and run that saw him bounce off two defenders with him taking off up the middle of the field. With others giving the vertical presence, Hopkins was able to work underneath routes and and nickel and dime through the Falcons defense.

2019 Week 4 vs CAR (8 / 5 / 41 / 0 rec - 5.6 points, $8700)

There are not enough chances headed DeAndre Hopkins way in the passing game, and it is due to Deshaun Watson not giving him opportunities. Only targeted eight times, Hopkins is doing most of his work underneath due to the coverage the Panthers were playing. Hopkins was missed on a potential big gain, but Watson missed him by overthrowing him. Hopkins was asked to throw a pass in the red zone that resulted in an interception intended for Carlos Hyde a similar play they ran the season before against the Buffalo Bills. Hopkins time will come, but his success is predicated on Watson seeing the field properly.

2019 Week 3 vs LAC (7 / 6 / 67 / 0 rec - 9.7 points, $8900)

It was another slow but productive day for DeAndre Hopkins who has been doing most of his work in underneath routes. Defenses are working hard to get Watson to go to other options in the passing game and it is working early to start the season. Hopkins best reception came with him in the slot and he beat his man in press coverage to get to the middle of the field for a 34-yard catch and run. Hopkins remains the Texans best option in the passing game and his ability to make big plays can happen whenever he touches the football.

2019 Week 2 vs JAX (8 / 5 / 40 / 0 rec - 6.5 points, $9000)

Hopkins ran into his arch-nemesis in Jalen Ramsey, who has had the most success covering him over the years. Hopkins had two receptions over 10 yards for 14 and 13 yards. He did have one target over 20+ yards, but it was not close to being completed. Hipkins did most of his work underneath against Ramsey but it, like most of the Texans skill players, a slow day at the office.

2019 Week 1 vs NO (13 / 8 / 111 / 2 rec - 27.1 points, $9000)

It should have been a bigger day than what it was for Deandre Hopkins. Hopkins dropped three passes in the first half but woke up in the second half looking like the Hopkins many know. Catching touchdown passes for 2 yards and 16 yards, Hopkins continues to do his work when asked. His best reception came on a pass late in the 4th quarter down the left side line for 38-yards to set up a touchdown pass the next play.
