Week 4: vs Oakland Raiders
Mark and Joe say: Great matchup. Joe Flacco threw two interceptions and zero TDs during the narrow win at Jacksonville last Sunday (29/40 for 214 yards passing, with two sacks taken for -15 yards). In such constrained circumstances, none of the Ravens' receivers shone as fantasy options - Steve Smith Sr. (11 targets for 8/87/0 receiving), Dennis Pitta (eight for 6/42/0) and Mike Wallace (six for 3/34/0) were the top three pass-catchers last weekend. Flacco had 25/42 for 302 yards passing, two TDs and two interceptions thrown two games ago - we'll see if he can crank up the engine for Baltimore against the sorry Raiders' defense. Flacco did salvage some fantasy value for his owners' teams with a rushing TD (3/12/1 on the ground for Flacco last week). Speaking of the sorry Raiders' pass defense, they are currently ranked dead last in the NFL averaging 340.0 net passing yards allowed per game, with seven passing scores handed out vs. three interceptions and three sacks generated so far. Over the first three weeks of the season, Oakland has averaged 26.5 fantasy points allowed per game to opposing quarterbacks (third-most in the NFL); and 32.5 fantasy points per game allowed to wide receivers (most in the NFL); with 10.2 fantasy points given up per game to tight ends (ninth-most). Marcus Mariota's totals last weekend (17/33 for 212 net yards passing, zero TDs and two interceptions thrown) were more about his own banged-up, sorry passing attack than they were about some sudden surge by the Raiders. This is a great matchup for Baltimore.

Latest NewsRavens | Friday injury report for Ravens (Fri Sep 30, 04:27 PM) - Baltimore Ravens OT Ronnie Stanley (foot) and CB Sheldon Price (thigh) are listed as doubtful for Week 4. WR Kamar Aiken (thigh), LB Elvis Dumervil (foot), WR Devin Hester (thigh), OG Alex Lewis (concussion), DT Timmy Jernigan (knee) and OG John Urschel (shoulder) are listed as questionable. Stanley and Price did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 30. Hester and Lewis were limited during practice, while Aiken, Dumervil, Jernigan and Urschel fully participated in practice. Our View: Stanley being likely out will help Bruce Irvin and Khalil Mack and the Raiders defense chances of getting at Joe Flacco this week.

CB Devin Hester (thigh) was a limited participant, and LB Elvis Dumervil (foot), and OG John Urschel (shoulder) and DT Timmy Jernigan (knee) were full participants. Our View: The Ravens left side of their offensive line is already made up of two rookies, now it is two injured rookies. The Oakland Raiders defense could have an easier time of it this week at Baltimore.
