WR Devin Hester - Atlanta Falcons
|5-11, 185||Born: 11-4-1982||College: Miami (Fl)||Drafted: Round 2|
Distractions like playing wide receiver should not be an issue for Devin Hester in Atlanta. He is there to be a returner.
The temptation to subject receiver Harry Douglas to injury risk on punt returns should be over for the Falcons now that Devin Hester is available.

Week 12: vs Cleveland Browns
Mark and Joe say: Tough matchup. Matt Ryan is on a two-game winning streak, having slung 31/45 for 268 yards passing, one TD and zero interceptions last weekend (two sacks taken for -8 yards), and 20/31 for 219 yards passing, one TD and zero interceptions (with one sack taken for -7 yards) against the Panthers and the Buccaneers, respectively. As usual, Julio Jones (22 targets for 14/178/0 receiving) and Roddy White (18 for 14/147/2) have been Ryan's main targets during the winning streak. Harry Douglas has chipped in around the edges (six for 4/46/0) as has Devin Hester (seven for 4/39/0), but White and Jones remain the main guys for fantasy owners to plug into their weekly lineups. The Browns allowed 20/30 for 211 net yards, two TDs and one interception passing to Ryan Mallett in his first start as a Texan (and didn't sack the first-time NFL starter at all). Two weeks ago, Andy Dalton and Jason Campbell had a nightmarish game against the Browns, with 13/39 for 79 net yards passing collectively, with zero TDs and three interceptions thrown, and two sacks taken for -14 yards. To date, the Browns rank 11th in the NFL averaging 230.2 net yards allowed per game, with 14 TDs allowed balanced by 14 interceptions (tied for second in the NFL) and 20 sacks (tied for 20th) generated to date. This is a solid pass D that can make you pay if you get sloppy with the football. Advantage, Cleveland.

Recent Game Summaries
2014 Week 10 vs TB (4 / 1 / 5 / 0 rec, 1 / 0 / 0 rush)
The receiver was wide open up the left sideline in the end zone on third down late in the half, and he dropped the ball. The next series, Hester was held to no gain on a reverse. He was also overshot on a third down slant where he got wide open and could have run for extra yards. The best play from Hester was a 43-yard kick return late in the half that gave Atlanta a chance to kick a field goal for the lead. In the third quarter, Hester was open up the seam, but Ryan also overshot this throw and Hester could only dive for the ball, coming up inches shy of his fingertips. Hester suffered an ankle injury during the fourth quarter and did not return.
2014 Week 11 vs CAR (3 / 3 / 34 / 0 rec, 1 / 9 / 0 rush)
The Falcons' third receiver earned nine yards on an end around in the early third quarter, which was the first touch of the game for him in the offense. He had a nice run after the catch to work inside the Carolina 25 on an out route later in the same series. But Hester's game fell apart after that. In the second half, Hester helped instigate an on-field fight that delayed the game for a couple of minutes. When play resumed, Hester caught a wide receiver screen and earned yards after the reception until linebacker Thomas Davis delivered a hard shot to dislodge the ball from the receiver, and Carolina recovered.
