TE Joey Haynos - Free Agent
|6-7, 259||Born: 8-28-1984||College: Maryland||Drafted: ---|
2009 Week 8 vs NYJ (4 / 2 / 20 / 1 rec)
Haynos had a 15-yard reception, and later caught the only offensive TD by Miami on the day. It was a designed play that any competent TE would have caught, so this is probably not a sign of an impending breakout for Haynos.
2009 Week 9 vs NE (5 / 3 / 29 / 1 rec)
Backup tight end Joey Haynos scored the only passing touchdown in Week 9 for the Dolphins as he got loose behind the defense on third and one and caught a pass from Ronnie Brown for the score. Haynos had another 21-yard catch in the first quarter, but his touchdown is the real highlight for him on the afternoon.
2009 Week 11 vs CAR (3 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Tight end Joey Haynos started in place of the injured Anthony Fasano in Week 11's contest in Carolina but had zero catches on the night despite three targets. Miami's tight ends have minimal fantasy value at best with the Dolphins emphasizing the run and using the TE position as more of a blocker.
2009 Week 14 vs JAX (2 / 2 / 15 / 0 rec)
Haynos was the Dolphins second tight end, but the more likely to be split off the line in the slot. He caught both of his underneath targets for short gains.
2008 Week 15 vs SF (1 / 1 / 19 / 1 rec)
His lone target was the winning touchdown for the Dolphins. Haynos was able to score from 19 yards out when linebacker Patrick Willis dropped his coverage of Haynos. Willis decided to chase another receiver who he followed on a corner route. Haynos simply ran a seam route straight up the field uncovered and made an easy catch for the winning score.
