Quick fantasy outlook: Montario Hardesty entered 2012 as the clear back-up to Trent Richardson and stayed there throughout the season as Richardson performed well. Hardesty is a big back at 225 pounds and has nice skills, but his career has been littered with injury-related absences. With news that Richardson has a shin bruise that some sources say could turn into a stress fracture, Hardesty will get more reps in OTAs and perhaps even into Training Camp. Richardson is rumored to be ready to return in August, and Head Coach Rob Chudzinski has said he expects Richardson to be ready for the start of Training Camp in late July. However, these types of injuries could linger - especially for a very physical runner like Richardson with a lot of tread on his tires from college.
