FBG says: Bad matchup. The Cowboys passing offense to many people's surprise has been the best in football this season averaging 312.7 yards passing per game. The Cowboys have effectively been able to utilize Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, Jason Witten, and Randall Cobb to create an offense under Kellen Moore that has been one of the bright spots in the NFL this season. Over the last two weeks, Dak Prescott has thrown for 397 yards against Minnesota, and 444 yards against Detroit which mark the third time this season that Dak has thrown for over 400 yards.
This will be an incredibly interesting game as it is the league's best passing offense against the league's best passing defense. The Patriots have allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks on the year allowing just 178 yards per game and more importantly, just four passing touchdowns all season. This is a defense that is designed to shut down the run led by Stephon Gilmore, Duron Harmon, and the McCourty twins the Patriots also lead the league with 19 interceptions. This is a defense that is designed to confuse opposing quarterbacks by primarily playing a Dime defense which gives them plenty of matchups to work with throughout the game.
