Week 16: at Jacksonville Jaguars
Mark and Joe say: Neutral matchup. Charlie Whitehurst is in for Jake Locker and Zach Mettenberger - he managed 10/24 for 203 yards passing, zero TDs and zero interceptions thrown against the Jets' horrid secondary last week, and has posted 69/122 for 967 yards passing, five TDs thrown and two interceptions tossed over five games in which he attempted passes for the Titans. There are worst replacement starters going here in Week 16 folks, but if you can't throw a TD against the Jets this season, who can you score on? Seriously, though, Nate Washington (10 targets for 6/102/0 receiving against the Jets) and Delanie Walker (five for 4/93/0) seem to be Whitehurst's favorite targets among the remaining receivers Tennessee can field at this date. Whitehurst was under center back in Week Six for the Titans against the Jaguars, and he threw 17/28 for 233 yards, zero TDs and zero interceptions in that game, too. The Jaguars' pass D averages 243.0 net passing yards allowed per game (21st in the NFL), with 21 passing scores given out vs. five interceptions generated to date (tied for next-to-last in the NFL). They've generated 34 sacks this year (tied for 13th in the NFL), but are not good at covering receivers in the secondary. Joe Flacco was not sacked or intercepted last week (20/30 for 221 net passing yards allowed, with one TD given up), while Ryan Fitzpatrick was sacked once for zero yards lost two weeks ago (13/19 for 135 net yards passing, with zero TDs or interceptions thrown). This looks like a neutral matchup between teams that are playing out the string.

2014 Week 13 vs HOU (3 / 2 / 39 / 0 rec)
At the start of the third quarter, the Titans took a shot down the left sideline to Hagan. Hagan drew a pass interference penalty, but he negated it with his own pass interference penalty on the same play. Mettenberger went straight back to Hagan as he caught a pass when open down the middle of the field for a first down. Two plays later, Hagan caught a sideline pass for another first down.
2014 Week 14 vs NYG (7 / 6 / 62 / 0 rec)
Hagan started in relief of Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter. He caught his first target on a short out route for five yards. Midway through the second quarter, Hagan caught his second target on a shallow crossing route for a two yard gain. Early in the third quarter, Hagan was wide open down the field on a deep crossing route. He came open after play action, but was forced to wait on the ball by his quarterback. Hagan should have had many more yards, but Mettenberger's pass was poor. In the fourth quarter, on Third-and-19, Hagan caught a 17 yard pass over the middle of the field. The Titans tried to give Hagan a chance to show off his YAC ability late in the game, but the screen play was snuffed out immediately.
