Week 11: vs Houston Texans

All QB vs HOU

FBG says: Tough matchup. Alex Smith has played the role of game manager this season which has led the Redskins to a 6-3 record on the year. However, the passing game has struggled as it continues to deal with injuries to Jamison Crowder and Chris Thompson who are critical pieces to this passing offense. The Redskins might get Crowder back this week which would be a nice complimentary piece to this offense that has thrown for over 200 yards just once in the last five games. The offensive line continues to be an issue for Washington limiting the amount of time that Smith has to throw the ball as Matt Bitonti has dropped Washington down to the 31st offensive line after being a top-10 offensive line to start the season. The Texans secondary has been one of the better units this season. This is a team that is anchored by Kareem Jackson who is having the best year of his career thus far this season along with Tyrann Mathieu who has done a tremendous job rotating between a slot corner and strong safety. This is a unit that has allowed just one 300 yard passer this season which was a game in which they struggled stopping the Colts as Andrew Luck threw 62 times for 464 yards back in Week 4. With all of the injuries and lack of consistent play for the Redskins this should be a tremendous matchup for the Texans to continue their success against the pass.
