Recent Game Summaries

2014 Week 2 vs DAL (5 / 40 / 0 rush, 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

Shonn Greene had just five carries for 40 yards in this game. Each of those carries came in the first half and the scoreline will be used as an excuse for his limited usage, but realistically the play-calling was too pass-happy from the outset in this game. It's understandable that Whisenhunt wanted to get Locker and his weapons going against a very poor secondary, but imbalancing your offense immediately gives the defense an advantage that it hasn't earned. Greene should have played a greater role in this game.

2014 Week 3 vs CIN (10 / 33 / 1 rush, 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

Shonn Greene continued his positive start to the season with a number of effective carries early in this game. His highlight play was a very well blocked stretch run off the left side that sent him clear down the sideline for a big gain. Greene started the game and he had a touchdown in the fourth quarter, but he was sparingly used as the offense looked to incorporate Sankey more.

2014 Week 4 vs IND (3 / 10 / 0 rush, 0 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)

Greene continues to be the starter for the Titans. In a sense, Greene is both used too much and not used enough. He is used too much because he doesn't appear to be as effective as Sankey when he gets the ball. He is not used enough because he is still effective when he is on the field and the Titans insist on throwing the ball too much.
