Summary

This will be year number 15 for Larry Fitzgerald and he looks to continue to produce at a high level for at least one more season. Fitzgerald is coming off of three straight seasons with over 107 receptions, 1,024 receiving yards, and 6 touchdowns. Fitzgerald turns 35 before the season starts and is showing no signs of slowing down. "I never really need to be rejuvenated," he said. "I love the competition. I love hearing people say 'he's 35, he's too old to do this still,' and me just continuing to do what I do. All that stuff motivated me. Honestly, I'm as motivated as I was when I was 20 just cutting my teeth. It doesn't really turn off." (May 22)

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald will end career in desert (Tue Jul 17, 02:15 PM) - Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald made it clear Tuesday, July 17, that as long as he is playing professional football he will be playing for the Cardinals.

Our View: Fitzgerald hinted that 2018 would not be his last season, but he did make it clear how much he loves playing for the Cardinals. 'I've built a good life for myself down there. Playing in the same place for 15 years is a true blessing.' Fitzgerald said.

Cardinals | Larry Fitzgerald could play longer (Tue Jul 17, 09:19 AM) - Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald hinted that he isn't close to retiring. He still feels good, enjoys the competition and loves being around his teammates. He also said he's either playing for the Cardinals or retiring. 'It doesn't really matter about the age, it's about what you put into it and your mindset,' Fitzgerald said. 'Everybody kind of takes numbers and assumes this is when it's supposed to end. As an athlete, fortunately, you write your own script. If you still produce and you play at a high level, you kind of determine how long you want to play. If I can stay at a high level, I still keep destiny in my own hands.'

Our View: Set to be a free agent in 2019, many expected this to be the final year for Fitzgerald in the pros. However, this is the second time he's talked about perhaps playing longer than one more year. We can't imagine him in anything but a Cardinals jersey so if he likes the future of the team (likely with potential franchise QB Josh Rosen), then Fitzgerald could stick around. He's still a WR2 with WR1 upside for fantasy owners and that's where he's being drafted right now (WR15, 3.09 in 12 team PPR leagues).

Seahawks | Doug Baldwin loving life in the slot (Tue Jul 10, 11:22 PM) - Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin has amassed an NFL-high 2,315 yards from the slot over the past three seasons, 58 more than second-place Jarvis Landry and 364 more than third-place Larry Fitzgerald.

Our View: Baldwin will continue to be Russell Wilson's top target, and it's not even close. The one question is whether the offensive line if you can call it that last season gives Wilson the time to throw. Last year they didn't and Baldwin's catch rate fell, though he was only credited with two drops all year. Wilson just lacked the time for accurate passes. Despite that, he still put up top 15 numbers. Right now he's tracking as the 10th receiver taken off the board, and we think his volume will bear that out and make him a smart selection.
