Week 14: at Detroit Lions
All RB vs DET
Mark and Joe say: Good matchup.
Jordan Howard was in the saddle for Chicago back in Week Four, leading the team in rushing with 23/111/0 rushing (and adding four targets for 3/21/0 receiving). He's also the lead back coming into Week 14. Last week, Howard rocked San Francisco with 32/117/3 rushing (and one target for zero receptions). All told, the Bears pasted the 49ers with 40/142/3 rushing - Kadeem Carey had 2/8/0 rushing (with one target for zero receptions) and Jeremy Langford posted 1/2/0 rushing. This is Howard's rushing attack entering Week 14.
The Lions' rush defense gave up 12/50/1 to the Saints last week - Minnesota had 16/82/1 rushing at Detroit two games ago. To date, the Lions average 98.2 rushing yards allowed per game (13th in the NFL), with six rushing scores given out to date (tied for third-least in the NFL). From Week 10 to Week 13 of regular season (the last four weeks, but includes 10 teams on byes during that time span - each team has at least three games played in the last four weeks), Detroit averages 18 fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs per game (11th-most in the NFL).
Howard scored three TDs last week - Detroit has allowed two rushing TDs over the last two games. Advantage, Chicago.
