TE Jim Dray - Free Agent
|6-5, 255||Born: 12-30-1986||College: Stanford||Drafted: Round 7, pick 2010|
2014 Week 5 vs TEN (4 / 3 / 25 / 1 rec)
Jim Dray caught a touchdown on a play-action release where he was wide-open. Dray is not fantasy-relevant.
2014 Week 13 vs BUF (4 / 3 / 45 / 0 rec)
With Jordan Cameron and Gary Barnidge both sidelined, Jim Dray is the default TE for the Browns. Dray does not possess much receiving talent, as he is a typical third tight end, and a solid one at that. He managed to gain 35 yards out of his four targets, his most impressive catch coming during Manziel's short time at quarterback. Dray was able to body a Bills safety on a medium-length throw over the middle and churn his way for extra yards on the 24-yard completion. For what it is worth, two of Dray's four targets came during Johnny Manziel's eight-attempt stint at QB.
2013 Week 2 vs DET (7 / 5 / 31 / 0 rec)
With the breakout potential of fellow TE Rob Housler dominating much of the discussion surrounding this position, Dray gets very little attention for his play but his contribution Sunday was notable. Tied for second on the team with 7 targets in Sunday's game, Dray caught 5 passes and was a consistent safety net for Palmer. Totally 31 yards on the day, Dray wasn't necessarily moving the chains with big gains, but he allowed the team to continue moving forward, something that proved vital in such a close game. Housler's eventual return from injury will cut into Dray's targets, but like Mendenhall, the consistency Dray provides each and every Sunday will no doubt continue to show up in won-loss record.
2011 Week 9 vs STL (3 / 2 / 25 / 0 rec)
Dray had a pair of catches, both later in the game and on a nice reception for 20 yards at the end of the third quarter. The Cardinals were backed up in their own end when Dray ran a good route which split the defenders. Skelton hit him in stride and Dray held on for the first as he was hit when he caught it.
2010 Week 4 vs SD (1 / 1 / 24 / 0 rec)
Dray caught a long pass down the seam for a nice gain of 24 yards for his first NFL reception.
