Recent Game Summaries
2019 Week 14 vs KC (2 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec - 0 points, $5400)
Dorsett's only highlight was getting absolutely mugged on a play that should have been defensive pass interference with a no-call from a referee crew that couldn't get anything right. Beyond that, he barely saw any targets, and it's clear he may be losing Tom Brady's trust.
2019 Week 11 vs PHI (5 / 3 / 33 / 1 rec - 10.8 points, $5300)
Dorsett's highlight was catching a touchdown pass from Julian Edelman early in the 3rd quarter, but he was knocked out of the game after the catch with a head injury. Beyond that, there wasn't much to speak of since he missed nearly half the game, but he was still seeing good snaps.
2019 Week 8 vs CLE (6 / 3 / 43 / 0 rec - 5.8 points, $5600)
Dorsett's highlight was a chunk back shoulder catch from Tom Brady early in the game. He did get 6 targets, but wasn't able to do much else with them.
2019 Week 7 vs NYJ (4 / 3 / 46 / 1 rec - 12.1 points, $5600)
Though he only had 4 targets, he made one count on a deep touchdown with a nice sluggo route. It's worth noting gamescript didn't favor the passing game even though Josh Gordon was out, and the Pats purposely played a quick passing game. It remains to be seen how the return of Gordon, NKeal Harry and the addition of Mohamed Sanu affect him.
2019 Week 4 vs BUF (9 / 2 / 10 / 0 rec, 1 / 9 / 0 rush - 2.9 points, $5900)
Tom Brady looked and threw Dorsett's way plenty, but Dorsett was unable to get separation on most of his targets, and many were questionable throws and decisions from his quarterback. This is one case where the stat sheet did the performance justice: 2 catches for 10 yards on 9 targets is wholly awful. Dorsett's depth of target was also in chunk areas, which meant Brady forced or was inaccurate on a lot of those throws thanks to pressure and generally great defense. Any game where Dorsett is the most targeted Patriot either means something went very wrong or there was nonexistent coverage. On the plus side, maybe this means more trust is being developed between QB and WR.
2019 Week 3 vs NYJ (7 / 6 / 53 / 1 rec, 2 / 12 / 0 rush - 15.5 points, $5000)
Another week, another touchdown for Dorsett. Apparently he's Tom Brady's new Gronk. Kidding aside, Dorsett showed up on the field and in the stat sheet once again with a solid day that included a 25 yard touchdown on an easy crossing route. Brady's trust with Dorsett has definitely grown this year, and with Antonio Brown, he's locked in as the third receiver on this team.
2019 Week 1 vs PIT (4 / 4 / 95 / 2 rec - 23.5 points, $4900)
It may be his high watermark for the year, but Dorsett had himself a game, including two touchdowns on deep throws. His first was a go route where he ran past defenders on a great throw by Tom Brady. His second touchdown was semi-broken coverage against the zone, and he simply ran straight ahead for an easy touchdown. His snap share is likely to go down with Antonio Brown in the fold, but he showed he still has value to the Pats.

DE John Simon (elbow) was not given a practice designation for a second straight day but also no longer appears on the injury report. Our View: About a third of the Patriots roster is questionable in another typical chapter of Belichickian gamesmanship. All of the key names on this list should be available on Sunday.
