Week 7: vs Tennessee Titans
All QB vs TEN
FBG says: Neutral matchup. The Browns passing attack is simply one of the worst in the league. While they have passed for decent yardage as a team, the Browns quarterbacks own both the lowest quarterback rating (56.7) and completion percentage (54.3) in the league. They have thrown two interceptions for every one touchdown this season--a very difficult feat to accomplish. Kevin Hogan was very bad in his last start against a Texans defense that was actually missing it's top three pass rushers. Even against that weakened front seven, Hogan was still sacked four times while only passing for 140 yards, one touchdown, and a whopping three interceptions. The Browns are going back to their opening day starter as they continue to try to find a quarterback in DeShone Kizer who Hue Jackson said will be the starter going forward. Kizer changes very little as we have seem him struggle mightily so far this season completing just 50.9% of his passes and throwing nine interceptions compared to just three touchdowns. The Browns receivers are barely worth mentioning as they are all suffering from this poor quarterback play. Ricardo Louis currently leads the team in both targets (35) and receptions (18) as Kenny Britt remains sidelined with a groin injury.
The Titans secondary looked much improved against what was a struggling Colts offense on Monday night this past week. Their cornerback group actually did a great job here after a very rough start to the season. They shut down T.Y. Hilton to just one reception for 19 yards and held Jacoby Brissett to 212 passing yards and a 57% completion rate. This is only one game though, and against a bad offense at that. The Titans still rank near the bottom of the league in passing defense with the sixth and tenth most fantasy points per game allowed to quarterbacks and wide receivers respectively. The Titans pass rush has also really struggled this season, amassing only eight sacks on the year--third fewest in the league. They have played well against the pass in soft matchups such as this one, however, so it will take some decent play out of Kevin Hogan to really threaten this Titans secondary.
