TE Brad Cottam - Kansas City Chiefs
|6-7, 270||Born: 12-28-1984||College: Tennessee||Drafted: Round 3, pick|
2009 Week 13 vs DEN (5 / 3 / 21 / 0 rec)
Cottam dropped a couple of passes, and was also overthrown by Matt Cassel which is hard to believe because Cottam stands about 6'7" tall. When Brodie Croyle entered the contest in the fourth quarter he seemed to have better chemistry with the big tight end. Cottam hauled in three passes on the day, but did little after the catch.
2009 Week 14 vs BUF (1 / 1 / 26 / 0 rec)
Cottam didn't get many looks, but he made a very athletic catch in the middle of the field and looked fast for such a big man.
2009 Week 15 vs CLE (5 / 4 / 62 / 0 rec)
Cottam looked very natural out in routes despite being about 6'7" 270, and he was one of the Chiefs few sure-handed receivers on this day. He was very hard to bring down after the catch, and after a disappointing offseason, Cottam could be staking his claim to be the Chiefs top receiving TE in 2010.
2008 Week 7 vs TEN (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
Tyler Thigpen targeted Brad Cottam at the end of the game. Tony Gonzalez was not in the game.
2008 Week 8 vs NYJ (6 / 4 / 34 / 0 rec)
Brad Cottam was very involved in the offense. Tyler Thigpen checked down to him many times. It wasn't a huge day but a good day for a TE. He did have a very nice pass in the endzone that he dropped.
2008 Week 11 vs NO (1 / 1 / 19 / 0 rec)
Cottam made a good catch on a low throw early in the game for a 19 yard gain.
2008 Week 12 vs BUF (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
While he did not make the stat sheet, rookie Brad Cottam continues to get playing time when Kansas City uses two tight ends with two wide outs. With Gonzalez getting open throughout the game, Cottam never became an option.
2008 Week 13 vs OAK (1 / 1 / 2 / 0 rec)
Cottam was the outlet receiver on one play but was otherwise not involved much.
