Correa was initially drafted to play outside linebacker but the unexpected retirement of Zach Orr has provided an opportunity for the second year man to get on the field. At 6'3" and 250 pounds Correa has excellent size for the strong inside backer position. Correa appears to have the right skill set for the job as well. He saw little action as a rookie but recorded 7 sacks in his final season at Boise State. The Ravens like to blitz their inside backers so his pass rush ability is a big plus. Correa also possesses excellent quickness and a relentless motor. What we do not know much about is his ability to play in coverage. He should have little trouble transitioning to the inside role on early downs but may end up giving way to Albert McClellan or Patrick Onwuasor in sub package situations. After seeing what Orr was able to do last season there is no doubt Correa has strong fantasy potential, but he is far from a sure thing. (May 27)

Ravens | Kamalei Correa hopes to start (Sat May 20, 12:58 PM) - Baltimore Ravens LB Kamalei Correa said he is more comfortable with the defensive scheme and hopes to win the starting inside linebacker job next to LB C.J. Mosley.

Our View: A second-round pick out of Boise State in 2016, Correa has intriguing upside as a pass-rusher because of his quick-twitch athleticism. Correa said he has been working with defensive coordinator Dean Pees and linebackers coach Don Martindale this offseason to improve his play.
