Week 4: at New England Patriots

All TE vs NE

Mark and Joe say: Neutral matchup. This is a classic AFC East rivalry game, and these contests are always hard-fought affairs. Tyrod Taylor didn't throw the ball much against the Cardinals (14/25 for 119 yards passing, zero TDs and one interception thrown, with four sacks taken for -30 yards). He's doing without his top receiver, Sammy Watkins (foot injury), and in Watkins' absence Robert Woods was the top receiver on the team with eight targets for 6/51/0 receiving - nobody else on the team got over 30 yards receiving on the day (tight end Nick O'Leary was second on the team in receiving with one target for 1/28/0 receiving). Until Watkins gets back (if he does), look elsewhere for your fantasy wide receivers and tight ends, folks. The Patriots' pass defense kept all Texans out of the end zone on Thursday Night Football, limiting Brock Osweiler to 24/41 for 175 net yards, zero TDs and one interception thrown, with two sacks taken for -21 yards. To date, the Patriots average 271.3 net passing yards allowed per game (19th in the NFL), with four passing scores given out vs. three interceptions and five sacks generated. They're a mediocre unit for the most part - over the first three weeks of the season, New England has averaged 20.2 fantasy points allowed per game to opposing quarterbacks (14th-least in the NFL); and 24.7 fantasy points per game allowed to wide receivers (14th-most); with 7.4 fantasy points given up per game to tight ends (15th-most). Like we said, they are in the middle of the road so far this year. This is a neutral matchup for Taylor and company, but don't expect fireworks and then you won't be disappointed.
