Quick fantasy outlook: Eagles GM Howie Roseman turned a lot of heads with the 3-year, $12mm signing of James Casey. Casey, while well regarded by scouts, had been used sparingly in four seasons in Houston. He started just 20 games, caught 66 passes and 752 yards while only scoring four times (an average of 1 TD per season). That's not the kind of player that typically earns $12mm in free agency. Yet, new head coach Chip Kelly believes that Casey has been mishandled, and can play the "Aaron Hernandez" role in the Eagles offense. Considering Aaron Hernandez is one of the most dangerous receiving threats at the TE position, the comparison for Casey is a welcome one, but we shouldn't race to inflate our expectations. Casey is going to play tight end and fullback, and will be moved all around the field. He's in line for a far larger role offensively than he was afforded as a Texan, but that may still not mean much in fantasy circles.
