The Browns added a trio of previously productive corners during free agency. Fourth overall pick Denzel Ward is all but certain to man one of the starting spots on the outside, leaving Carrie to compete with E.J. Gaines and Terrence Mitchell for the rest of the pecking order. All three of these players are experienced veterans with something to offer. Carrie is coming off a 70 tackle season with the Raiders but has shown marginal big play ability over his four years as a pro. Gaines was on pace for similar production last season had he not missed five games with injury. Mitchell spent much of last season as a nickel corner with the Chiefs, recording four interceptions and breaking up seventeen passes. This will be an interesting situation to watch over the summer and into the preseason as all of these guys have displayed useful production in recent years. On the other hand, Cleveland has not been a fantasy friendly place for corners in quite some time. (May 31)
