Week 15: at Green Bay Packers - $

All TE vs GB

FBG says: Neutral matchup. Mitchell Trubisky is beginning to revitalize both this Bears passing offense and his career prospects as the starter with back-to-back impressive performances after what has been an otherwise forgettable season. Trubisky went up and down the field for 338 yards and three touchdowns against a down Lions defense in Week 13, and he followed it up last week with a 244-yard and three-touchdown outing against a much better Cowboys defense. With the good also still comes some bad with Trubisky, however, as he threw an interception in each of those games and has at least one pick in each of his last four outings. Top receiver Allen Robinson has certainly enjoyed this recent streak of success, as he has racked up four touchdowns while averaging 88 yards per game over the past three weeks. Anthony Miller saw his role drop off last week as he saw just four targets with three receptions, but he did find the end zone for the first time this season and should continue to be on the field a decent amount until Taylor Gabriel (concussion) can return to action. Tarik Cohen also continues to see a consistent target load from the backfield, granted nearly all of his opportunities are low-leverage situations that have yielded underwhelming results. Green Bay has had a hard time stringing together consistent performances against the pass this season. The past few weeks have looked good on paper as they racked up as many interceptions as passing touchdowns allowed while holding all three opponents to under 255 passing yards per game, but those outings were against a run-heavy 49ers team along with the Giants and Redskins. Looking at their entire schedule, this Packers pass defense has actually had it easy for most of the season as they have squared off against a top-1o fantasy quarterback just once in 13 games. This isn't to say the Packers have no talent on defense, as young cornerback Jaire Alexander has made it tough on most opposing wide receivers while Adrian Amos is having yet another great year from the free safety position. Green Bay does, however, have a below-average pass rush and a banged-up slot cornerback in Kevin King, who missed last week's game but appears likely to play through his shoulder injury this week. This defense has also struggled mightily against tight ends throughout the second half of the season. While Allen Robinson has his hands full with Alexander on the outside, look for the likes of Anthony Miller or tight end J.P. Holtz to find a seam down the middle of the field.

Recent Game Summaries

2019 Week 8 vs LAC (4 / 1 / 16 / 0 rec - 2.6 points, $3000)

Trey Burton had a quiet week against the Chargers, with his first and only reception coming in the fourth quarter across the middle. He also drew a target in the red zone that was overthrown. Burton is limited this season by Mitchell Trubisky's play and is an unpredictable fantasy player at this point in his career.

2019 Week 7 vs NO (4 / 2 / 11 / 0 rec - 3.1 points, $3200)

Trey Burton continued to be a minimal element in the offense with Mitchell Trubisky struggling to move the offense. Burton had two short receptions and added a drop while splitting snaps with Adam Shaheen who caught a two-point conversion. He is a low-end option next week against the Chargers.

2019 Week 5 vs OAK (4 / 3 / 16 / 0 rec - 4.6 points, $3300)

Trey Burton was used primarily in the short passing game against the Raiders on Sunday. He had a conversion on third down but was otherwise held to two short low leverage receptions. He is a minimal player in the offense heading in a week six bye.

2019 Week 4 vs MIN (4 / 2 / 16 / 0 rec - 3.6 points, $3800)

Trey Burton continued to reintegrate himself into the offense in week four against the Vikings. He dropped a short target but later caught a crossing route and a short slant on an RPO. There are no consistent receiving options in the offense after Allen Robinson, so Burton has the ability to grow into a role in the offense in future weeks. He will face the Raiders in week five.

2019 Week 3 vs WAS (4 / 4 / 20 / 0 rec - 6 points, $3600)

Trey Burton continued to reacclimate his way into the Chicago offense after missing week one with an injury. Burton was limited to four short-area catches against Washington in week three but has the opportunity to expand his role in the offense. He will face more net week against Minnesota.

2019 Week 2 vs DEN (3 / 2 / 5 / 0 rec - 2.5 points, $3700)

Trey Burton returned after missing week one with an injury. He drew an end-zone target that was not catchable from Mitchell Trubisky. His two catches were in the flat on dump offs. He will look to improve next week against Washington.
