Quick fantasy outlook: Now that Brian Urlacher is no longer a Chicago Bear, Lance Briggs should become a clear focal point for this defense. An ideal 4-3 weakside linebacker, Briggs does everything really well but rarely got half the attention or accolades that his teammate did. D.J. Williams is expected to take over inside but he is not a natural middle linebacker so that will likely create some additional pressure for Briggs. As a player who will turn 33 years old this year, there has to be some definite concern that he will lose a step and have trouble making the plays he has come to be known for. The Bears drafted a potential replacement in Khaseem Greene, but it's likely too early to write off Briggs. Look for another strong season where he finishes as a lower-end LB2 or high-end LB3.
