Recent Game Summaries

2014 Week 2 vs NYJ (3 / 1 / 6 / 0 rec)

Last week, Jarrett Boykin was tasked with distracting Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman but this week there was no main corner to plug him in across from. Boykin was on almost the same amount of offensive plays as rookie Davante Adams, but targeted only three times (two were throw aways) compared to seven for Adams. It is early but it could be Adams is starting to pass Boykin on the depth chart--certainly Adams appears to have a lot more upside than Boykin does.

2014 Week 3 vs DET (4 / 1 / 11 / 0 rec)

As was the case with every Green Bay receiver, Jarrett Boykin had a hard time gaining any separation. That just makes the drop on his second target that much worse. On the play, quarterback Aaron Rodgers dropped back and saw Boykin wide open along the left sideline. Rodgers delivered the ball perfectly to Boykin, who immediately dropped it. Another time Rodgers delivered the ball well behind Boykin and it was unclear if the receiver made his cut too deep or if Rodgers was throwing to the wrong spot. As has been the case the first few weeks, Boykin and Rodgers were not in sync.

Packers | Week 4 Inactives (Sun Sep 28, 11:42 AM) - The Green Bay Packers have declared LB Brad Jones, LB Carl Bradford, CB Demetri Goodson, C Garth Gerhart, WR Jarrett Boykin, QB Scott Tolzien inactive for Week 4.

Packers | Jarrett Boykin inactive (Sun Sep 28, 11:36 AM) - Green Bay Packers WR Jarrett Boykin is inactive for the Week 4 game Sunday, Sept. 28.

Our View: The Davante Adams era could begin today for the Packers, play him as an upside flex in PPR leagues and don't let him sit on the waiver wire, even in short bench leagues.

Packers | Friday injury report (Fri Sep 26, 04:04 PM) - Green Bay Packers WR Jarrett Boykin (knee, groin) and LB Brad Jones (quadriceps) are questionable for Week 4 against the Chicago Bears. OT Bryan Bulaga (knee), CB Davon House (knee), LB Clay Matthews (groin) and LB Nick Perry (wrist) are probable. Boykin didn't practice Friday, Sept. 26. Jones, Matthews and Perry were limited, while the others were full participants. The Packers didn't actually practice Friday, and the designations are an estimation.

Our View: If Boykin is out, rookie Davante Adams will have a chance to become relevant for fantasy leagues because of the Packers high rate of three-wide sets.
