Week 13: vs Denver Broncos
All RB vs DEN
Mark and Joe say: Neutral matchup. Blake Bortles boosted the Jaguars' rushing attack vs. the Bills with 8/81/0 rushing, but Chris Ivory pushed in the TD with 9/44/1 rushing (4.9 yards per carry) and added one target for 1/11/0 receiving before being forced to the sidelines with a hamstring injury. T.J. Yeldon had 6/17/0 rushing and two targets for 1/3/0 but seemed limited by the ankle injury that held him out of practice. Denard Robinson (13/39/0 rushing) ended up handling quite a bit of work in Ivory's absence. If you are invested in the Jacksonville backfield, pay attention the the practice reports for Ivory and Yeldon later this week in Footballguys.com's Players in the News, as it is unclear as of midweek who will be available to play against the Bronco's (suspect) defensive front.
Speaking of the Broncos' rush defense, they gave up 26/83/1 to the Chiefs' runners last Sunday night, after holding New Orleans to 21/80/0 rushing two games ago. From Week Nine to Week 12 of regular season (the last four weeks, but includes 14 teams on byes during that time span - each team has at least three games played in the last four weeks), Denver averages 22.4 fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs per game (fourth-most in the NFL). They did cough up 43/218/3 rushing to the Raiders three games ago, which is keeping that fantasy points average high in our four-week window. To date, the Broncos average 120 rushing yards allowed per game (27th in the NFL) with 10 rushing scores given up over 11 games.
This looks like a neutral matchup at midweek.
