General News (Wed Nov 19): is out for this week's game.

Week 12: vs Kansas City Chiefs

Mark and Joe say: Tough matchup. Derek Carr has come back down to reality for an NFL rookie, with a zero TD game at San Diego last week (16/34 for 172 yards, zero TDs or interceptions, with two sacks taken for -10 yards) after a 41-17 drubbing by Denver two weeks ago in which he threw 30/47 for 192 yards, two TDs and two interceptions. Aside from tight end Mychal Rivera (a constant presence over the last two weeks with five targets for 3/40/0 receiving last week and eight for 6/64/1 vs. Denver), the Raiders haven't had a wide receiver go over 50 yards in any of the last three games - Kenbrell Thompkins got close last week with three targets for 2/47/0 receiving, but the bottom line is that the dink-and-dunk Oakland passing attack is not providing much in the way of fantasy points to the wide receivers on staff. The Chiefs' pass D is ranked first in the NFL averaging 201.6 net yards allowed per game, but they have allowed 16 passing scores vs. just four interceptions generated (tied for next-to-last in the NFL), while recording 30 sacks this season (tied for third in the league). Oakland can actually pass-block, though, with only 12 sacks allowed this year - Carr should feel some heat on Thursday night, but it won' get too bad, most likely. Last week, the Chiefs held Russell Wilson under 200 yards passing (20/32 for 168 net yards, two TDs and zero interceptions thrown, with two sacks taken for -10 yards), while Kyle Orton threw 29/48 for 253 net yards, one TD and zero interceptions with one sack taken for -6 yards two games ago. This is a tough matchup for the faltering Oakland offense.
