WR Jared Abbrederis - Free Agent
|6-1, 195||Born: 12-17-1990||College: Wisconsin||Drafted: Round 5, pick 2014|
2016 Week 1 vs JAX (1 / 1 / 8 / 0 rec)
Despite Davante Adams' issues with being consistent, Abbrederis saw very little action. He didn't have much luck getting open and Rodgers didn't look his way often.
2016 Week 6 vs DAL (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
The only play of note for Abbrederis was on a short pass which quarterback Aaron Rodgers nearly threw into the dirt, and which bounced up off Abbrederis' hands and was nearly intercepted.
2015 Week 10 vs DET (7 / 4 / 57 / 0 rec)
Abbrederis was doing very well against the Detroit Lions before he was forced from the game with a rib injury in the fourth quarter. With the defense focusing on Randall Cobb, Abbrederis was able to get open multiple times and was one of the few guys who Aaron Rodgers seemed to be able to connect up with. His biggest play was the one he got hurt on, a go route down the field during which the pass was just a bit off, but Abbrederis held onto the ball and made a few steps before getting hammered by a defender and fumbling it out of bounds.
2015 Week 13 vs DET (3 / 1 / 16 / 0 rec)
Add Abbrederis to the list of Packers receiver struggling to shake coverage. He had one catch on a 3rd and 18 which he caught two yards short of the sticks and was the target on a deep pass by Aaron Rodgers with 16 seconds left in the game. The pass was a little short and Abbrederis was perfectly covered. Both Abbrederis and the defender banged into each other and the ball fell incomplete.
2015 Week 14 vs DAL (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
After Davante Adams was benched, Abbrederis entered the game but only saw one target, as he had no better luck than Adams in getting out from under the Cowboys' coverage. He seems to be just a placeholder until Ty Montgomery comes back.
2015 Week 15 vs OAK (3 / 3 / 33 / 0 rec)
Abbrederis caught all of his targets which included a nice catch across the middle in the third quarter for 15 yards. On the play, Abbrederis ran a deep in and made a nice catch as he was hit, and held onto the ball to extend the series.
2015 Week 16 vs ARI (2 / 1 / 5 / 0 rec)
Aaron Rodgers went to Abbrederis on back-to-back plays. The first, Abbrederis dropped the ball on what would have been a first down and was not an easy catch anyway. The second was a short pass for a five yard gain.
2015 Week 19 vs ARI (12 / 4 / 55 / 0 rec)
Abbrederis started things off with a bad drop, then was the target on a poor pass. While the two got on the same page a little later for a few passes, things reverted back to discombobulated in the third quarter, the lowlight of which was a ball which was badly underthrown (though it might have been tipped--very tough to tell from the camera angles) that fell into the hands of safety Rashad Johnson. It was all Abbrederis could do to tackle Johnson--he had no chance to make a play on the ball. The last three targets thrown in his direction were all incompletions. Abbrederis saw an awful lot of passes thrown his way but had a hard time catching any of them.
