Jackson left the Week 2 game with a groin injury

Summary

Welcome home! Veteran DeSean Jackson was re-acquired in the offseason. The 11-year veteran last played for Philadelphia in 2013 and had stints with Washington and Tampa Bay since. At 33 years old, Jackson won't be asked to approximate his 82-catch, 1,332-yard, nine touchdown season from six years ago, but he will be expected to give Carson Wentz a vertical threat that was lacking last year after Mike Wallace didn't pan out. Jackson still has elite deep speed, as exhibited by his league-leading 18.9-yard average yards per reception last year. He hasn't been a top-30 fantasy receiver since 2014 and will be more helpful to Wentz than he will be to fantasy managers. In best-ball formats, his home run ability makes him worth rostering. Eagles | DeSean Jackson unlikely to go Week 3 (Tue Sep 17, 05:03 PM) - Philadelphia Eagles WR DeSean Jackson (groin) is not expected to play in Week 3 versus the Detroit Lions and he may be hard-pressed to go in Week 4 against the Green Bay Packers due to a short turnaround, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Our View: According to reports, Jackson has been dealing with this groin/abdomen issue for weeks. They have a short turnaround in Week 4, so we'll have to see if Jackson can return in Week 5. With Alshon Jeffery (calf) banged up, Nelson Agholor is the team's No. 1 receiver. Mack Hollins and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside will get more time too.
