Summary

In most cases, leaving a team with an accomplished passer for a team with a second-year run-first quarterback would be a setback in most cases. But for Ingram, he goes from a committee to the top spot in a run-first offense. And that run-first quarterback should help open lanes for him. Ingram isn't known for being a pass-catcher, but he hasn't registered fewer than 27 receptions in any of his last five seasons. And he had a three-year stretch from 2015-2017 where he caught 50, 46, and 58 passes. Baltimore's financial commitment (a three-year deal worth $15 million) and the rest of its depth chart suggest that Ingram will be given every chance to succeed. While Baltimore will use its backups, the team should call enough rushing plays to give Ingram a solid dose of carries on a weekly basis. (September 3)

Our View: Ingram was nifty in the open field as a receiver and converted his opportunities. He's a boom/bust RB2 with the Rams up next.

CB Brandon Carr (non-injury), RB Mark Ingram (non-injury), CB Jimmy Smith (non-injury), S Earl Thomas (non-injury, knee) and DT Brandon Williams (non-injury) were full participants in practice Friday and no longer appear on the injury report.
