Summary

Amari Cooper has always been a divisive player. The 4th overall pick in the 2015 draft was viewed as a transcendent talent by some, including the Raiders, who believed he could rival Julio Jones and Antonio Brown as the league's best. A 72-reception, 1,070-yard, six touchdown rookie season hinted at greatness, and Cooper followed it up with an 83-catch, 1,153-yard, five touchdown performance in 2016. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse in 2017 as Cooper was in and out of the lineup with injuries and struggled with consistency. Last year, playing for Jon Gruden, his play tailed off further (47% catch rate, 12.7 yards per catch, one touchdown in six games) and his career trajectory looked bleak. However, an unexpected mid-season trade to Dallas reinvigorated Cooper and the Cowboys offense. What a difference a year makes. Cooper's nine games in Dallas pro-rate as 135 targets, 94 receptions, 1,289 yards, and 11 touchdowns. Cooper played over 80% of snaps as the starter and was on a 16-game pace of 94 receptions for 1,289 yards and 11 touchdowns. With an offseason acclimating to his teammates and a new offensive coordinator in Kellen Moore, Cooper may finally deliver No. 1 fantasy value in 2019, and for years to come. (September 2)

Cowboys | Amari Cooper finds the end zone (Thu Dec 5, 11:48 PM) - Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper caught six of his eight passes for 83 yards and a touchdown in a 31-24 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 14.

Our View: Cooper's touchdown came in garbage time as the Cowboys offense sputtered after a successful first drive at Soldier Field. He'll likely see a lot of Jalen Ramsey in Week 15.
