Summary

Andrews is a prototypical "move" tight end who flashed big play ability late in the season last year. He and Lamar Jackson showed chemistry, particularly on a 68-yard touchdown by Andrews in Week 16. Even with the team's run-first mentality, the matchup difficulties that Andrews can provide for opposing defenses should keep him on the field often. (May 5)

Ravens | Mark Andrews primed for big second season? (Mon Jul 8, 03:09 PM) - Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews could be 'a featured receiving target' as a big body over the middle or even split out wide if offseason practices were any indication.

Our View: Andrews has already built a strong chemistry with Lamar Jackson from the connection they built as rookies in 2018. Even though the Ravens have 2018 first-round pick Hayden Hurst on the roster, Andrews is the more intriguing prospect because of that chemistry and his skill set as a receiver. The Ravens are going to run the ball early and often, but we like Andrews as a low-end TE2 with upside in 2019.

Ravens | Mark Andrews emerging as a top target? (Thu Jul 4, 10:34 PM) - Baltimore Ravens TE Mark Andrews was a 'weapon all over the field' during minicamp, according to Mike Preston of The Baltimore Sun, and Preston said Andrews was a 'favorite target' of QB Lamar Jackson inside the red zone.

Our View: Andrews was a top target for Jackson last year...just like he was in college for some guy named Baker Mayfield. Even though the Ravens selected Hayden Hurst in the first round last year (and Andrews in the third round), Andrews is a favorite for the starting job in 2019. We'll watch this battle unfold in training camp.
