Best Case

Rookie Matt Forte struggles to acclimate himself to the NFL, and Wolfe begins to make plays with his dazzling quickness and elusiveness. He only gets 12-15 touches per game but makes the most of them with several long touchdowns.

Worst Case

Wolfe simply doesn't have the size to compete at the NFL level and he is reduced to occasional touches as a change of pace running back.

Outlook

Wolfe doesn't have the size to touch the ball 20 times per game. However he is quick and tough to tackle in open space which could mean he sees more playing time this season in a 3rd down specialist sort of role. He won't have tons of fantasy production but could be a spot starter at times in PPR (point per reception) FF leagues during the season if he earns enough playing time.

2007 Game Summaries

Week 4 - The rookie from Northern Illinois carried three times in limited relief duty.

Week 5 - Wolfe had a two yard run that was nearly a catch, as the ball was thrown to him but it was a backwards pass.

Week 13 - Though active for this game, Wolfe did not garner any carries or targets, as Adrian Peterson seemed to play all downs throughout the game not requiring a backup.

Week 14 - Wolfe had one carry for 11 yards in the third quarter. He got a few more carries in the fourth quarter as well. He caught four passes for 37 yards late in the game as the short and the speedy Wolfe was used quite a bit late in the game as the Bears were forced to pass the ball.

Week 15 - Wolfe entered the game periodically to spell Peterson, but he was given only three opportunities to carry the ball. He did not make much of an impact in the passing game, either, though he did show a little sizzle on one of his receptions.
