Outlook
Reggie Williams 10 touchdowns in 2007 likely earned him a starting job in 2008 for the Jaguars. However, don't let his production be misleading: Williams only caught 37 passes all season and only had more then three receptions in a game four times. Furthermore, while he reached a career-high in reception yardage, Williams' career average of 12.9 yards per reception will need to improve if he's going to earn - and keep - a starting role. Williams did finally begin to live up to the promise that made him a high draft pick, but his production has come in short spurts. We expect to see him continue to progress in 2008 although he is best suited as a WR4 or even WR5 for fantasy squads.

Why he is undervalued
according to three of our writers (based on an ADP of 121, WR 45 on June 12 --- go here for the complete article)Will Grant - Reggie Williams is often overlooked in many leagues. Let's face it - he's not anything to write home about. Yet he's one of the more experienced WRs on a powerhouse offense that will put up a lot of points this season. As Garrard matures into a solid NFL QB, Williams is going to be a big part of the offense, and will easily outperform the WR45 position that he's being taken.
Jeff Haseley - Williams very quietly finished last season with 10 TDs (all in ten different games). He was the 28th ranked WR last year, so why is he now considered the 45th best WR? The addition of WR Jerry Porter won't make that much of a difference. David Garrard definitely knows how good he is and we're starting to realize just how good Garrard is. Williams has increased his ranking each of his first four years in the league. He should finish MUCH higher than WR45. Chris Smith - Has developed nice chemistry with starter David Garrard and he will put up similar numbers to last year. Why he is overvalued
according to two of our writers (based on an ADP of 121, WR 45 on June 12 --- go here for the complete article)Sigmund Bloom - It's hard to call WR45 overvalued, but it's impossible to ask any WR to repeat on 10 TDs in only 38 catches. Williams only caught more than 2 balls 6 times last year. The Jags prefer to lean on the run and spread the ball around when they do pass - look elsewhere for your mid-round WR depth.
Andy Hicks - Reggie Williams didn't start the majority of games for Jacksonville, caught only 38 balls and Jerry Porter has been signed to a huge contract. Why is he worth drafting? Williams will be in his 5th year and has yet to get close to 700 yards receiving. Take out his rash of TDs last year and he's not worthy of being drafted. Until he proves that wasn't a fluke, look on.2008 Schedule

2007 Game Summaries
Week 2 - Williams also did well with his limited targets, gaining a first down on one reception and scoring a touchdown on another. The third target thrown to him was deflected by a defender. Williams showed good quickness and hands while getting open in the traffic over the middle of the field on both of his receptions.
Week 3 - Williams was used on short routes, with two of his targets coming in the end zone.
Week 5 - Williams was used on short routes, with one of his targets being a pass thrown at his feet in the end zone.
Week 6 - Williams caught every pass thrown to him including a nine yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, but he also lost two fumbles.
Week 7 - Williams did not have a reception, but he was thrown to three times, twice by Gray during the final drive of the game.
Week 8 - Williams caught the only pass thrown to him, and he was not on the field much.
Week 9 - Williams had his best game of the season, taking advantage of Gray looking for him frequently and making plays, including an 80 yard touchdown pass where he caught a deep pass in stride and outran the defenders to the end zone. Williams showed good hands and route running but committed a gaffe at one point when he cost his team 15 yards by incurring an unsportsmanlike penalty after catching a pass for a first down.
Week 10 - Williams was used on shorter pass routes, but was not involved much in the game, although Gray missed him on one of his targets where he was open.
Week 11 - Williams did what he seems to do quite often. That is, he's not much of a factor in the passing game but he somehow finds a way to get into the end zone. In this game, he did it with flair on a long touchdown pass courtesy of David Garrard. He simply ran by the cornerback Antonio Cromartie and got to the pass before safety Marlon McCree could get over. Then once the defenders converged on Williams near the three yard line, they opted to give very futile efforts to actually make the tackle and Williams waltzed into the end zone.
Week 12 - Listed as questionable before the game with a bad back, Williams caught the only pass thrown to him and scored a 59 yard touchdown.
Week 13 - Williams was targeted eight times in the second half, and mostly on intermediate and deep routes. Apart from the penalty he incurred that backed his team up from the Colts' seven yard line to the 22 yard line, he played well. Two of the passes thrown his way were deflected due to good plays by his defenders, and two other passes were thrown out of his reach. The only other incomplete target thrown his way was a difficult but catchable pass in the end zone.
Week 14 - Williams led the Jacksonville receivers with five catches for 90 yards and a touchdown. He caught a 22 yard pass for the opening score of the game. On that drive, he had a 23 yard catch called back due to a penalty on the Jaguars. All five of his catches were good for first downs.
Week 15 - Williams was uncovered for a three yard touchdown reception. It was his only catch of the game. He dropped two other attempts thrown his way.
Week 16 - Though the number of targets don't show it, Williams was the most dangerous receiver for the Jaguars. He was targeted on longer throws than the other wideouts, and also scored a touchdown.
Week 17 - Williams made the most of his targets in the first half, including a touchdown catch after running a very nice route to get open in the end zone. His only touch in the second half came on an end around where he was stopped two yards outside of the end zone. He was not targeted in the second half.
Week 18 - Williams caught two of the three balls thrown his way. He gained 23 yards on the night, including a key second and long eight yard catch on the game winning drive.
Week 19 - Williams was only targeted in the second half. He ran a good route and showed excellent concentration on the pass he caught. His other target was in the end zone, but the pass was deflected by his defender.
