2007 Game Summaries

Week 1 - Webb had one pass thrown to him. He should have had it, but it deflected off of him and was intercepted by Dunta Robinson. It was not a good day or a memorable performance for Webb.

Week 2 - Webb was the leading receiver on the Chiefs for the day, catching four of his five targets. His main contribution was on a 34 yard pass from Croyle on the last Chiefs drive of the game.

Week 5 - Webb was not targeted until the second half, and most of the routes he ran were intermediate. Webb ran one of those routes poorly that almost resulted in an interception.

Week 6 - Webb caught seven of the eight balls thrown his way, giving the Chiefs a little depth at wide receiver. He was able to find space frequently, and Huard rewarded him for doing so.

Week 7 - Jeff Webb did not catch either pass thrown to him. He provided no yardage totals in this game and had no fantasy value.

Week 9 - Webb was involved in the play that would prove to be the turning point of the game. With the Chiefs down by a point Huard completed a 36 yard pass along the left sideline to Webb. The initial ruling on the field was a complete pass, the call on the field was challenged and overturned. That play seemed to take the momentum away from the Chiefs. Webb gained all of his yardage in garbage time on the final two completions.

Week 10 - Jeff Webb was targeted often but only managed to catch two of the passes sent his way, albeit for a healthy 33 yards

Week 11 - Webb's only catch was on a play where he was wide open.

Week 12 - Jeff Webb did not have any catches or yardage gained in this contest. He remains far down the list of likely receiving options.

Week 14 - Webb, like most of the Chiefs' offense, saw little action. He had only one catch for eight yards. After the catch he fumbled, but Kansas City managed to recover the ball.

Week 15 - Jeff Webb had a short gain on the ground and caught one of the passes thrown to him. He had little impact.

Week 16 - Jeff Webb caught three of the seven passes thrown to him for nineteen yards.

Week 17 - Jeff Webb had a game he will remember for his whole life, as he saw ten targets and was able to bring in four of them for 49 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown, which tied the game in the fourth quarter, was on a perfectly thrown deep ball as he and Croyle hooked up for the 26 yard score. It was Webb's first career touchdown and forced the extra quarter of overtime for the Chiefs.
