Outlook
Timmons was the Steelers first round pick in '07 but big expectations for his rookie season were nixed when he suffered a groin injury and fell behind right from the start of training camp. Entering his second season Timmons is beginning to make a lot of noise. He has yet to officially earn the starting job but even current starter Larry Foote has acknowledged that its only a matter of time. Foote basically told reporters that "he's a first round pick and he can play". If he gets into the lineup this season as expected, it will be in Foote's position as a sidekick to James Farrior who is the focal point on the inside. However it should be pointed out that Farrior is 33 years old and in the twilight of a solid career. Timmons will likely evolve into that role an dit may happen as soon as the '09 season. Everyone should have Timmons on their radar as a sleeper for this season but dynasty owners in particular should watch this situation as it progresses through training camp.
