Best Case

Since his rookie year in 2003, Charles Tillman has been one of the most consistently productive CBs in the league. He's averaged nearly 5 solo tackles/game in his career, which is better than most linebackers. Tillman has great size, excellent ball skills, and he plays in a system that is really conducive to CB production. His upside is probably 80+ solo tackles and 6 interceptions, which would likely rank him as a top-5 DB.

Worst Case

Tillman has missed time in each of the past 4 seasons, although it's generally only been a game or two. His tackle numbers have also shown a slight decline in each of the past two seasons, which is cause for some concern. His dropoff last year was probably due in part to Nathan Vasher and Mike Brown missing most of the season with injuries, which put a lot of inexperienced players in the lineup that offenses could target. If the secondary gets depleted like that again, QBs won't have much reason to throw in Tillman's direction.

Outlook

Tillman certainly belongs among the elite fantasy CBs due to his consistently high tackle and interception numbers. He's still in the prime of his career and should bounce back from a disappointing season in 2007 to finish among the top-5 fantasy CBs and top-10 DBs overall.
