2007 Game Summaries

Week 2 - Sypniewski had the first multiple target and multiple catch game of his young career. On the downside, he was also flagged for a false start penalty.

Week 4 - Sypniewski was called into the game following Todd Heap's hamstring injury. He was used as a safety valve in the passing game, but did manage to catch his first career touchdown pass.

Week 5 - Sypniewski replaced Todd Heap in the lineup, and was targeted eight times in the passing game. He caught four of those passes for 28 yards. Sypniewski was targeted often, and as with all of the other Ravens receivers, on short passes often over the middle. He showed capable hands, and McNair seemed comfortable using him.

Week 6 - Sypniewski was sharp catching the ball, but did not get nearly the workload that a healthy Todd Heap would have had.

Week 7 - Sypniewski saw increased action due to injuries to Todd Heap and Daniel Wilcox. Sypniewski caught four of his five targets for 33 yards. However, he dropped the other target and lost a fumble in the first half.

Week 9 - Sypniewski caught four passes for 25 yards in the game, including the Ravens' longest pass of the game, a nine yard reception in the first half.

Week 10 - Sypniewski posted just one catch on two targets for seven yards.

Week 11 - Sypniewski had a quiet day. He did not have many pass plays designed specifically for him but he was a safety option for Kyle Boller. Sypniewski did not drop any passes and showed some athleticism in attempting to catch balls thrown over his head or far off to his side.

Week 12 - Sypniewski got the starting nod at tight end with Todd Heap out again, but only caught one ball for a short gain.

Week 13 - Sypniewski was used sparingly and failed to bring in the only ball thrown his way.

Week 14 - Sypniewski was targeted once late, but didn't haul in the ball.

Week 15 - Sypniewski's one look came late in the game off the arm of Troy Smith.

Week 16 - Sypniewski showed good hands as he hauled in most of his targets. He saw significant game action with both Todd Heap and Daniel Wilcox ailing.
