2007 Game Summaries

Week 8 - Sorgi came in for the final drive with the game out of reach. He completed one of two passes for nine yards.

Week 14 - Sorgi entered the game in the middle of the third quarter, as the competitive portion of the game was over. He didn't do too much more than just hand the ball off, but it appears he is capable of running the Colts' offense, and looks a lot like Peyton Manning with his pre snap adjustments and gesticulations. Four of his five passes went to Colts' wide receivers, and the other went to running back Clifton Dawson

Week 16 - Sorgi entered the game late in relief of Peyton Manning to start the fourth quarter with the score 38-7 Indianapolis. He only threw five passes, but he at least didn't look lost out there. Sorgi rarely gets the opportunity to throw the ball, and he asserted himself well aside from one terribly underthrown pass to Reggie Wayne. Sorgi should play a lot next week as head coach Tony Dungy plans on resting the majority of his starters, and he certainly won't expose Peyton Manning very long to possibly get injured in what is essentially a meaningless game.

Week 17 - Sorgi played over a half in relief of Peyton Manning and was not effective. The Titans pressured him at every opportunity in an attempt to rattle the quarterback and to not give him time to throw. As the first half came to a close it was apparent that Sorgi was bothered by the pressure as he was not able to get comfortable in the pocket and set his feet. In the second half his problems were compounded by the Colts falling behind and being forced to throw with an ineffective running game.
