2012 Game Summaries

Week 5 - Scott got into the game on the Bengals 3rd drive and made an immediate impact, taking his first carry 29 yards and impressively breaking five tackles along the way. Faking a fly to Hawkins, Scott took the carry outside and patiently waited for the hole to open up. Scott broke two arm tackles through the hole before three Dolphin defenders converged on Scott. It certainly wasn’t the best of form tackling from Miami, but Scott took a hit from all three, at once and emerged unscathed and upright, nearly breaking free for a long TD run. Scott continued to slice the Dolphin defense up on the drive, getting four more carries, but his final run went for a loss of three yards as he was immediately hit in the backfield. Scott’s final carry was inside the Miami five, as the more powerful Green-Ellis did not replace him once Cincinnati reached the red zone. Scott exited the game under his own power, but he didn’t return and it was later reported he had a knee injury. The team put him on IR and his season is over.
