Outlook
Once upon a time Ed Reed was a perennial top 5 pick at DB. There was never a time however, in which he provided a great deal of consistency. Reed has never posted more than 67 solo tackles and though his big play ability enables him to go large fairly often, when he doesn't make one of those plays he is usually a huge bust. Over the past three seasons his numbers have continued to slide all the way to just 29 solo stops in '07. In fact Reed has combined for only 104 tackles over the past 3 seasons. An average of fewer than 2.5 per game. Reed is a guy who will be way over valued because of his highlight reel but don't make the mistake of drafting him for more than a bye week backup.
