Ravens | Joe Flacco praises young wide receivers (Fri May 24, 02:13 PM) - Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco praised his young wide receiving core of Tandon Doss, Deonte Thompson and David Reed. 'I haven't heard too much about all that, but I'm excited about who we have,' Flacco said. 'I like the idea of having guys that we've had, we've drafted here or we've picked up here, and grooming them and getting those guys to become great wide receivers. They definitely have the talent to do it. I think we just need to get them some reps. And when I say reps, I mean game time reps, so their confidence can take off.' Our View: This is an important competition for fantasy owners to watch in training camp. With Anquan Boldin getting traded away to the 49ers it has opened up a spot for a starter opposite Torrey Smith. The Baltimore Sun previously reported that Deonte Thompson may have the inside track on that job.Ravens | Tandon Doss trying to make most of opportunity (Mon May 13, 06:10 PM) - Baltimore Ravens WR Tandon Doss is a candidate for a much bigger role in the team's offense after WR Anquan Boldin was traded to the San Francisco 49ers in the offseason. Doss should compete for playing time behind WRs Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones and could become the No. 3 receiver. WRs LaQuan Williams, David Reed, Deonte Thompson and Aaron Mellette are the other receiving options that will compete in offseason workouts and training camp. Baltimore is open to signing a veteran wideout to compete in camp, as well. Our View: Doss is a deep threat who can fly down the field and track the ball. If Jacoby Jones wins the WR2 starting job opposite Torrey Smith then Doss could be considered the favorite to take over Jones' WR3 role.

2012 Game Summaries
Week 17 - The passing offense for the Ravens was quite limited, leading to Reed being the team’s leading wide receiver based on a short hook route where he had a nice cushion, a quick slant, and a big play of 23 yards. The long catch came on a play-action rollout to the left, and Reed was wide open on a medium crossing route. Taylor was able to make an accurate throw on the run and Reed made a nice catch, but was tackled before he could gain any yardage after the catch.
