2012 Game Summaries
Week 15 - Posey had a nice game against the Colts as the Texans third receiver in three-wide packages. His best catch came on a 36 yard reception down the middle of the field that showed Posey's smooth hands and excellent top-line speed. The play finished with a 15 yard personal foul against Indianapolis giving Posey a 51 yard net gain on the catch.
Week 16 - posey continues to show the inconsistency of a young player. He has good size and speed and runs good routes, but he often has difficulty getting off the line of scrimmage and doesn't always make the easy catch. He primarily ran deep curls and hitches against the Vikings from the right side. He finished the day with one short catch on a quick slant from the right. He was also targeted on a deep curl but was under thrown.
Week 19 - Posey had, by far, his best game as a pro on Sunday, catching three of his five targets, including a 25-yard juggling act TD. Running a vertical, Posey did a nice job giving Schaub some space on the sideline to place the throw. Posey wasn’t quite ready, but managed to tip the pass to himself (after a couple juggles) as he fell into the end zone. Initially ruled incomplete, replay showed as Posey fell to the turf he was able to secure the ball before he slid out of bounds. A little lucky, but with incredible concentration, Posey had his first TD catch as a pro. The good vibes were short-lived; however, as he appeared to badly injure himself on Foster’s short TD catch late in the game. Unable to leave the field under his own power, Posey was loaded on to a medical cart and quickly taken back to the locker room.
