Mike Patterson is the linchpin in the middle of the Eagles defensive line. While Trent Cole and other DEs get the sack glory for Philadlephia, Patterson stuffs the run and does much of the ugly work up front in DC Jim Johnson's defensive scheme. Patterson does post good stats overall, but even as a Top 10 DT he does not merit much in the way of big games or sack numbers. Look for him to get 3-4 sacks and about 40 tackles, which are good DT numbers but not in good comparison to most defensive ends. He is probably only of fantasy value in leagues where at least 1 DT starter is required.
