Best Case
Roscoe Parrish is one of the most explosive players on the Bills roster, but he's only shown flashes of what he can do to this point in his career. Despite seeing limited snaps while competing with marginal players like Peerless Price and Josh Reed, Parrish has seen an improvement in his receptions and yards in each of the past two seasons. Last year was a frustrating year for all of the Bills receivers, but Parrish should be able to make more big plays with the opportunities he does get and improve on his 10.1 yards per reception average of a year ago.
Worst Case
Parrish is very small and hasn't been able to add much weight to his 170 pound frame since entering the league a few years ago. Although he plays bigger than he is and doesn't shy from contact, he would probably wear down if the team tried to use him as a starter. Parrish led the league in punt return average last year, which is probably where he can be most valuable to the team. The drafting of James Hardy also likely ensures that Parrish will remain the No. 4 receiver on the depth chart and continue to see limited playing time.
Outlook
Parrish is an excellent punt returner with limited upside as a receiver due to his small size. With Hardy expected to take over as the No. 2 receiver and Reed expected to hold onto the slot receiver role, Parrish's best chance for playing time on offense will come in four-WR formations. Parrish did haul in 35 receptions last year but didn't do enough with them. This could be a key year for him to determine whether he will be a receiver in this league or just a punt returner.

2007 Game Summaries
Week 1 - Parrish caught two passes for 25 yards and lost two yards on a reverse. The Bills are trying to find ways to get the ball to Parrish who showed off serious big play ability with a 74 yard punt return for a touchdown.
Week 2 - Parrish benefited from the injury to Josh Reed and played more extensively in this game. He was Buffalo's most targeted receiver and led them in receptions and yardage. Despite his big play ability, Parrish was targeted mostly on short routes.
Week 3 - Parrish converted a third and eight pass over the middle for 13 yards during the Bills' lone touchdown drive. Otherwise, he was as quiet as the rest of the Bills' receiving core.
Week 4 - Parrish caught all four of his targets for 33 yards. He was used primarily on quick outs or swing passes which give him a chance to make people miss in hopes of using his speed and agility in the open field.
Parrish returned one punt for 12 yards.
Week 5 - Parrish caught every pass thrown his way, including one red zone look. He also came up with a 12 yard reception for a first down on third and ten.
Week 7 - Parrish was the Bills' leading receiver entering the game. He was targeted only twice and caught only one pass for a nine yard gain. The other target was a deep attempt; the ball went off of Parrish's fingertips, but drew a pass interference penalty.
Parrish averaged 14 yards on four punt returns.
Week 8 - Parrish hauled in one of his four targets for 12 yards. He also added good field position returning punts and kicks.
Week 9 - Parrish caught one ball for a loss of two yards on the day. He was not in the lineup much, as Reed and Evans took the role of top wide receivers.
Week 10 - Parrish had been nursing a thigh injury throughout the week and did not catch the only pass thrown to him. He returned one kickoff for 24 yards and also returned four punts for 81 yards, a 20.3 yard average. He currently leads the NFL with an average of 21 yards per punt return.
Week 11 - Parrish made a stellar grab on the 47 yard touchdown pass from Losman. Parrish had man on man down the sideline on DB Ellis Hobbs but Losman's pass was slightly under thrown. Parrish made an adjustment and caught the ball mid-leap and trotted past the downed defensive back to put six on the board for Buffalo.
Week 12 - Parrish scored in his second straight game, running a reverse around the left end 24 yards. He also caught four passes for 26 yards. The league leading punt returner only had one return for 12 yards.
Week 13 - Parrish was targeted both deep and on medium routes, in an attempt to take advantage of his blazing speed and open field moves. He only averaged nine yards on his four catches.
Week 14 - Parrish caught a shovel pass for only a yard. Parrish was unable to haul in a short pass on a third down and two play that would have extended a Bills' drive.
Parrish entered the game leading the NFL in punt return average and had a 67 yard touchdown return called back by a penalty.
Week 16 - Parrish caught one pass in the first quarter that turned out to be the catch of the game. While sprinting full speed down the field he dove, caught Edwards' pass in midair, and was downed at the Giants' four yard line. The play set up Buffalo's second touchdown.
Week 17 - Parrish is still more valuable as a punt return specialist although the Bills keep looking for ways to expand his role in their offense. Edwards tried one deep pass that fell incomplete.
