2007 Game Summaries
Week 1 - He did not play due to a knee injury.
Week 4 - Morency made his return from injury, but did not make much of an impact on the game. He never appeared in the game for any extended length of time, and only touched the ball four times.
Week 5 - Morency's return to the Green Bay was a good one, as he made the most of this time in the game when the starter DeShawn Wynn temporarily left the game with cramping and dehydration.
Week 6 - Morency averaged just over 2.7 yards on 4 rushes, but did catch all five of the passes that were intended for him.
Week 8 - Both of Morency's rushing attempts came in the second quarter and he was able to catch the only two passes that were thrown his direction.
Week 9 - Vernand Morency only saw limited action in relief of Ryan Grant and Brandon Jackson. He did have one memorable play at the end of the first half when he kicked the ball out of bounds on an apparent lateral from Brett Favre, a call that was later changed to an incomplete pass, that would result in a delay of game penalty.
Week 13 - Morency had three targets but, did not have catches or carries.
Week 14 - Morency's first rush came near the end of the third quarter and went for a two yard gain. He took over the rushing duties for Ryan Grant with 8:21 left in the fourth quarter and had six consecutive rushes near the end of the game that went for 21 yards.
Week 15 - Morency did not get a carry in this contest, but he did contribute in the passing game. Both of his receptions came on third downs and his first grab came on a third down play that extended a drive that led to Green Bay's first touchdown. His final target was a deep pass near the end zone, but the pass fell incomplete.
Week 17 - Morency's first reception went for a 12 yard gain on a first quarter, third and ten play. His second grab came in the second quarter and went for a gain of eight. His first rush came near the start of the third quarter and he received the majority of his rushing attempts near the end of the game as Green Bay ran out the clock.
