Kawika Mitchell is a former 2nd round pick who began his career as the MLB of the Chiefs. After 3 years as a starter in Kansas City, he signed with the Giants last year and was converted to WLB. His tackle numbers took a bit hit with the position change but he adjusted well and made a lot of big plays. Fresh off a Super Bowl victory, Mitchell signed with the Bills on the first day of free agency and will provide an immediate upgrade at one of the OLB spots. At over 250 pounds, Mitchell would seem to be a perfect fit on the strong side, but the initial plan is to play him on the weakside. That should help him put up numbers similar to last year, but he's unlikely to see much time in passing situations and that will limit his upside.
