2012 Game Summaries
Week 16 - McCoy got in the game for over a quarter of action with his first pass attempts of the season with Brandon Weeden injuring his shoulder in the second half. McCoy was sacked four times as the Denver defense played with a big lead. McCoy led a garbage time touchdown drive, leaning on Travis Benjamin on the drive that finished with a short Greg Little reception. McCoy was stuffed on his two-point attempt on the ground. He bounced balls a la Donovan McNabb on more than one occasion, including multiple times to Ben Watson, who looked frustrated with his quarterback. McCoy’s arm strength looked improved from 2011, but lacked the zip of Brandon Weeden on the longer throws he attempted. If needed to start in Week 17, McCoy could be in for a rough game traveling to Pittsburgh. McCoy has two touchdowns and seven interceptions against the Steelers in his NFL career.
