Best Case
Ruvell Martin has a terrific training camp while James Jones struggles, allowing Martin to jump ahead to WR3 in the depth charts. New quarterback Aaron Rodgers steps in, and the offense doesn't miss a beat, allowing Martin to achieve career highs in receptions, yardage and touchdowns. If all of that were to happen, Martin could have some value in fantasy leagues as a dependable backup player.
Worst Case
Martin is buried on the depth chart and the passing game takes a nose dive with Rodgers at the helm. He finishes with similar reception totals to last season, but his touchdown receptions disappear. If this were to happen, Martin would have no fantasy value in 2008.
Outlook
It is unlikely that Martin will have significant fantasy value in 2008 and likely isn't worth a roster spot heading into the season. He has nice size and did show a nose for the endzone, so if he has a tremendous training camp, he may be worth picking up and storing on a roster.

2007 Game Summaries
Week 1 - Martin only caught two balls, but the other three passes his way were not his fault. He showed average hands, and Favre was not afraid to throw to him. Martin will probably move down the depth chart when Greg Jennings comes back from his hamstring injury.
Week 2 - Martin failed to catch a pass in this game, but both of his targets resulted in pass interference penalties on the Giants. His first target came late in the first quarter and resulted in a 22 yard penalty on Corey Webster. Martin's second target came early in the third quarter and resulted in a nine yard penalty on Sam Madison that resulted in a first and goal from the New York two yard line.
Week 5 - Martin had an 18 yard catch and run in the first quarter. He snagged a ball behind him on a slant route, and made a great instinctual move to take the ball outside his inside leaning defender for a nice chunk of yards after the catch.
Week 6 - Martin caught his only target of the game for an 18 yard pickup late in the second quarter.
Week 10 - Martin was a nice spark as the fourth receiving option, making several big plays. He hauled in two of Favre's three touchdowns. His second touchdown was quite a lucky play as two defenders collided attempting to make the interception. The ball bounced up in the air off the two of them and Martin easily grabbed the ball for a touchdown.
Week 11 - Martin was targeted just two times and caught one pass for 11 yards. The pass went for a first down in Green Bay territory.
Week 12 - Martin wouldn't have warranted mentioning, except for the fact that his only passing target of the game resulted in a three yard touchdown. But really, that play (a quick out to the corner) could have been designed to go to anyone.
Week 14 - Martin failed to have a ball thrown his way in this game.
Week 15 - Both of Martin's targets came on Green Bay's initial drive, but both passes fell incomplete.
Week 17 - Martin only grabbed one of the four passes thrown his way, but he made that one catch count. On a fourth and two play, Craig Nall hooked up with Martin on a 32 yard completion that went for a touchdown. The reception was his fourth scoring grab of the year.
