Outlook
Manning has never finished worse than QB9 and that was in his rookie season. One of the league's most reliable fantasy producers is usually a lock for top 5 fantasy production -- but this year is much different. Offseason neck surgery led to a preseason of no activity, and then complications have led to doctors telling Manning to cease all football activity. Not only is Manning's consecutive games played streak in danger, his role as a sure-fire fantasy #1 is, too. If you haven't drafted yet, Manning cannot be taken as anything other than a backup you hope rounds back into form at some point later this year.

Our View: The Colts will have to make a decision before the start of free agency when Manning is due a $28MM roster bonus. If he's going to be traded then he will have to restructure his existing contract. He can't throw the ball across his body, because he doesn't feel it. People that catch the ball for him say he doesn't really have velocity on the ball yet.' Our View: That's a big problem for Manning. He's been medically cleared to resume playing football but his arm strength is nowhere near where it needs to be.
