2007 Game Summaries

Week 2 - Jones contributed mostly as a blocker in both the running and passing games.

Week 3 - Jones' only target was intentionally thrown at his feet, but he did capitalize on his lone rushing attempt by scoring a touchdown. He was used mostly as a blocker.

Week 5 - Jones was used mostly as a blocking fullback, but did have some carries as a tailback late in the fourth quarter.

Week 6 - Jones saw limited duty, but is still a strong third option in this offense. He carried twice for four yards and caught a screen pass in the third quarter for 27 yards.

Week 7 - Jones had only one carry in this game--a red zone attempt.

Week 8 - Jones was used mostly as a blocking fullback, but made the most of his one target, taking a short pass with less than three minutes remaining on a third down play, making Derrick Brooks -- a credentialed defender -- miss with a nice move, and gaining 18 yards to keep the drive alive and take more time off the clock.

Week 9 - Jones was used mostly as a blocking fullback, and only had one carry, which resulted in a yard being lost.

Week 10 - Jones was very productive with his limited touches, catching a short pass for a touchdown and rushing up the middle for another.

Week 12 - In limited duty the big fullback picked up three yards on his only carry but failed to catch either pass thrown to him.

Week 13 - Jones was used mostly as a blocking fullback, getting just one carry and one pass thrown his way.

Week 14 - Jones was thrown to early in the game but the pass was incomplete. He didn't see the ball again until the very end of the game. He got four carries for a total of one yard.

Week 15 - Jones was stuffed for no gain on a third and one play. He caught one pass on a second and goal play from the one yard line, but lost two yards.

Week 16 - Jones scored early in the game with his only reception, then returned very late in the game to spell Jones-Drew and Taylor.

Week 17 - Jones took advantage of his increased role in the offense by running hard each time he had the ball, and breaking tackles to gain extra yards. He also displayed good hands and ability to gain additional yards after securing the ball.

Week 18 - Jones was the fullback on the night, and ended up dropping one of the passes thrown his way which would have been for a big gain on second and long.

Week 19 - Jones was used mostly as a blocking fullback, getting just the final pass of the game thrown his way.
