Broncos | Could show interest in several free-agent QBs (Sat Feb 4, 11:16 AM) - The Denver Broncos could show interest in Atlanta Falcons impending free-agent QB Chris Redman, Detroit Lions impending free-agent QB Shaun Hill, Miami Dolphins impending free-agent QB Chad Henne, Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent QB Vince Young, New York Giants impending free-agent QB David Carr, New York Jets impending free-agent QB Kevin O'Connell and Tampa Bay Buccaneers impending free-agent QB Josh X. Johnson this offseason.

Our View: The Broncos would like to add a free agent veteran to push Tim Tebow in camp. Tebow will enter training camp as the starter but needs to show improvement as a passer if he wants to hold onto the job.

2011 Game Summaries

Week 1 - Johnson saw action for one play near the end of the first quarter, and one brief series at the end of the third quarter while Josh Freeman was having extra padding added to his ribs. On the series that Johnson led, the Bucs went three and out, and Freeman returned to lead his team in the fourth quarter. Clearly Johnson has the talent to play, but he is definitely second fiddle to Josh Freeman.
