Best Case

Horn is the veteran mentor with the Falcons, but when healthy he is the sort of wily player who can find the soft spot in zone coverages and move the sticks. If the Falcons suffer a rash of injuries at the WR position, Horn could step in for a few games and be a productive player. He brings quality depth to the team.

Worst Case

Horn would like to get out of Atlanta as his role has been quite marginalized. The truth is that, at this stage of his career, he would be hard-pressed to find a niche with any team. As a Falcon, he should spend most of the season coaching Roddy White and Laurent Robinson, with the odd reception coming his way now and then. That's mainly what he did last year.

Outlook

Horn is in the twilight of his career and doesn't have much upside. At best, he could be a desperation-type selection in free agency if your wide receiving stable gets badly banged up during 2008.

2007 Game Summaries

Week 1 - Horn finished with just 14 yards on one reception. He was targeted three times, including one of Joey Harrington's few deep throws, but was badly overthrown. His lone reception was a deep comeback route near the sideline on a first down.

Week 2 - Horn was targeted on two short passes in the red zone that were both incomplete, but caught the other passes thrown his way, which were both on intermediate routes.

Week 3 - Horn caught three passes 36 yards. Late in the game, with the Falcons down by ten points, Horn dropped a touchdown pass on a ball that he usually catches. It was his only red zone opportunity.

Week 4 - Horn caught the first pass of the game and was not heard from afterwards.

Week 5 - Horn's targets were spaced out throughout the game, though he never got into a groove with either Joey Harrington or Byron Leftwich in this game.

Week 6 - Horn caught a 14 yard pass for a first down on the first drive of the game, but it was his only catch of the first half. He added one pass in the second half for 11 yards.

Week 7 - Horn ran a number of different types of routes in this game, but only pulled in two short passes. He was targeted four times by both Joey Harrington and Byron Leftwich versus his former team.

Week 9 - Horn had the surest hands of any Falcons receiver, but was only looked for on short routes. Three of his four catches went for first downs.

Week 13 - Horn was only targeted once in the first half, but became an important weapon when the Falcons went to the air in the second half. Still, he remains the number four target behind White, Crumpler, and Jenkins.

Week 14 - Horn did not get much action on the night, but he did catch both balls thrown his way. Those two catches only netted eight yards though.

Week 17 - Horn was only targeted three times, but he made them count: two were for first downs, and the other, a TD.
